Dubai Municipality, in partnership with Letswork and Group Amana, has launched a "Work from Park" initiative at Al Barsha Pond Park, converting part of the public green space into a flexible workspace. The project is part of Dubai's push to find creative uses for its open urban spaces and give people who prefer working away from a traditional office a new option.

The workspace spans two separate buildings, each offering different facilities: an open area for shared co-working, private offices for more confidential meetings, and dedicated meeting rooms for small teams. Outdoors, seating areas and a rooftop space let users work under the park's trees when the weather allows, with every area equipped with high-speed internet and power outlets.

Pricing is tiered: daily access, which includes workspace, power, internet and coffee, costs Dh50; meeting rooms start at Dh200; and a dedicated desk costs Dh1,200 a month. The space is open from 8am to 8pm, and more than 45 people can already be accommodated at once.

Demand for the initiative has been strong enough that a long waiting list has formed for a spot in the green workspace. Dubai Municipality officials see "Work from Park" as an example of the city's new approach to multi-purpose use of its parks, and expansion to other Dubai parks is possible in the future.
